What is 925 alloy?

Incoloy 925 (UNS N09925) is a precipitation-hardenable nickel-iron-chromium alloy with additions of molybdenum and copper. It combines the high strength of a precipitaiton-hardenable alloy with the excellent corrosion resistance of Incoloy alloy 825.

What is the difference between incoloy 825 and 925?

Alloy 825 (Incoloy 825, UNS N08825, 2.4858) and Alloy 925 (Incoloy 925, UNS N09925) are nearly identical in composition, and therefore provide very similar corrosion resistance and physical properties. However, Alloy 925 provides significantly higher levels of strength as it benefits from precipitation strengthening.

What is the difference between incoloy 925 and Inconel 718?

The main difference between Inconel 718 and 925 is their composition. Inconel 718 contains niobium, which gives the alloy added strength and corrosion resistance. Inconel 925 does not contain niobium, but instead contains molybdenum, which gives the alloy added strength at high temperatures.

Is Alloy 925 silver fake?

Alloy 925 silver oxidizes when exposed to air leading to chemical changes in its wake. Using a soft white cloth, rub a small part of the jewelry, if the surface produces a black mark it would mean that the product is sterling silver. On the other hand, the color change would be absent in fake merchandise.
